When I found out about this program I was your average youth that made a lot of bad mistakes in the past and got dealt a bad hand in life. I was frustrated, hopeless and pregnant with my first child and was all alone. I wanted to finish my GED and further my education and go to college so that I may give my child a better life than I had. I reaped the benefits of working with Urban Colors Arts and Mentoring with the help of mentors and staff that helped me accomplished so many of my goals and more. I was able to get assistance with setting realistic goals for myself and completing them in a realistic time. I was amazed with how much this program offers for youth in unfortunate situations. They had offered to help me further my education, employment, and my favorite parenting skills. Because of this program I was able to help others get through similar situations. With all the help, support, and mentoring I received from Urban Colors they never asked for nothing in return except that I be successful young person that I am today. Thanks Urban Colors Arts and Mentoring.

I first found out about the fatherhood program from a referral thru the different speakers we had visit us I learned about Urban Colors Arts Mentoring program. There are many benefits from this program, communication skills, being patient with my self and others and most important listening skills. I attend school and don't have much time to go to all the classes, but the relationship that I have built with Mr. Meeks is great, I believe I'm blessed to have come across this program, after being getting in a lot of trouble for the last three years. I would like to thank the Urban Colors Arts and Mentoring program for the skills I have learned, and the opportunities. I'm very thankful.
