"STEP TO THE PLATE"
Preparing men to be fathers is perhaps the single most promising step we can take on behalf of our children today. The "STEP TO THE PLATE" Responsible Fatherhood Initiatives goal is to strengthen and increase the fathers involvement and parenting/ relationship skills of fathers of children who are at risk of negative outcomes due to limited fathr involvement and limited economic support through community based direct services. Services include Parenting classes, self sufficiency education, employment preparation, GED education, drug and alcohol counseling, financial literacy, and emergency resources.
STEP TO THE PLATE's primary focus is to smoothly get dads and father figures to understand the importance of their fatherhood role and provide them with ideas, suggestions, for them to connect and stay connected with their children whether their children are new born, toddlers, teens or adults. Fathers, can make a difference every day.?
What does it take to bring your 'A' game and to succeed in life" and Fatherhood? Maybe these statistics will help:
