For over 18 years, our organization has proudly served communities by championing the vital roles fathers, men, and boys play in strengthening families. At UCFX, we believe that when fathers are empowered, families flourish, and communities thrive.

Our mission is deeply rooted in recognizing and celebrating fathers as pillars of resilience, love, and leadership. Through innovative programs, resources, and initiatives, we strive to equip fathers with the tools and support they need to create lasting legacies for their children and families. We extend this commitment to all men and boys, helping them navigate life’s challenges while embracing their roles as mentors, caregivers, and change-makers.

UCFX is more than an organization—it’s a movement dedicated to transformation. Whether through community events, training workshops, or heartfelt conversations, we stand as a beacon of hope, empowerment, and unity for all. Together, we have made a lasting impact, and together, we will continue to build a brighter future for generations to come.

Thank you for joining us on this journey. Your support and involvement make it possible to continue this important work. Let’s shape a world where strong fathers and men create thriving families and vibrant communities.

I remain at your service, In Solidarity!

24/7 Dad® is a unique program designed to equip fathers with the self-awareness, compassion, and sense of responsibility that every good parent needs. It focuses on building the man first and the father second.

THE WORK

At UCFX, we provide culturally responsive, wrap-around mental health support that centers the realities and resilience of communities of color. Our approach creates safe, stigma-free spaces where individuals can express their mental health concerns confidentially and without judgment. We believe that healing happens in community — and that everyone deserves access to care that honors their lived experience.

As part of our commitment to mental wellness, UCFX offers Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) courses for both Youth and Adults, empowering individuals, families, and organizations to recognize and respond to mental health challenges before they escalate. These trainings are available quarterly and are designed to build a community of first responders for emotional wellness across our neighborhoods.

Pieces Never Missing: The Engaged Father’s Playbook: A Transformative Curriculum for Intentional Rebuilding of the Pillars—Manhood, Family & Community

Framework Overview:
The PNM Engaged Father’s Playbook is a structured curriculum designed to equip fathers with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to be active, intentional, and emotionally connected parents. It blends research-based strategies, cultural awareness, and real-life application to strengthen father-child relationships and promote holistic fatherhood engagement. The curriculum is divided into five key pillars, each addressing critical aspects of fatherhood. Each pillar includes lessons, activities, reflections, and action steps.

The Strengthening Families Program involves not just parents or children alone, but the whole family. It was developed specifically as a selective prevention strategy for 6 to 12 year old high-risk children of substance-abusing parents. In multiple replications with diverse ethnic groups in universal settings (schools, churches, neighborhoods), it has been found effective in reducing risk factors and increasing protective and resilience factors. The most immediate results are improvements in children’ s pro-social behaviors, mental status, and grades combined with reductions in aggression, violent behaviors, and substance use. Longitudinal follow-ups find reductions in alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs after up to five years.
