Bridges Out of Poverty is a community-wide framework, created by aha! Process, for understanding and alleviating poverty through a "Triple Lens" approach at the individual, institutional, and community levels. It uses a Framework for Understanding Poverty to provide tools and strategies for service providers, businesses, and community members to create a common language and build collaborations that improve outcomes for those in poverty and strengthen the entire community. Key components include training workshops for all sectors.
Justice-involved young men and fathers are disproportionately locked out of school, employment, and family engagement due to systemic bias and trauma. ReRoute & NextRite™ offer culturally relevant rites of passage, accountability coaching, and life course redirection rooted in community.
Workforce Development Partnership: Building Stronger Futures Through the Trades
At Urban Colors Fatherhood Experience (UCFX), we believe that empowering fathers, men, and families means opening doors to opportunity. That’s why we’ve partnered with workforce development leaders to provide specialized training in the trades—from construction and carpentry to electrical, plumbing, and beyond.
This partnership equips participants with hands-on skills, certifications, and career pathways that not only strengthen economic stability but also transform communities. By combining fatherhood engagement with workforce training, we help men secure sustainable employment, support their families, and model resilience for the next generation.
Through this collaboration, UCFX continues to foster healing, leadership, and prosperity—ensuring that fathers are not only present at home, but also positioned for success in today’s economy. Call or email us for more info!
A Child-Centered Approach Rooted in Healing, Support, and Accountability
We believe visitation should do more than meet a requirement—it should support connection, safety, and growth. Our Supportive Supervised Visitation Program is intentionally designed to help families rebuild trust, restore communication, and create meaningful moments in a supportive, structured environment. We take a holistic approach, integrating emotional readiness, strengths-based coaching, and post-visit reflection to ensure every interaction supports the child’s best interest.
Providing culturally responsive, wrap-around mental health support that centers the realities and resilience of communities of color. Our approach creates safe, stigma-free spaces where individuals can express their mental health concerns confidentially and without judgment. We believe that healing happens in community — and that everyone deserves access to care that honors their lived experience.
As part of our commitment to mental wellness, UCFX offers Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) courses for both Youth and Adults, empowering individuals, families, and organizations to recognize and respond to mental health challenges before they escalate.
These trainings are available quarterly and/ or by request and are designed to build a community of first responders for emotional wellness across our neighborhoods.
